Welcome to Pro-Vision: Expert Eye Care for Abilene and the Big Country

Dear Patients:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. I would like to thank you for your trust and confidence in permitting me to care for your family's eye care needs through the years. I'd like to thank you for the blessing of knowing you and your family. I'd like to thank you for the memories of doing what I love here in the Big Country. It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement, effective January 1, 2019.

Because I want to be certain that my patients continue to receive the best possible care, I am recommending and transitioning the practice and patient records to Dr. Gabriel Avila and the Advanced Eyecare group. They share my values of providing the best care while treating patients not just as patients, but like family. Advanced Eyecare is located at 4749 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene and may be reached at 325-692-9596.

Dr. Gabe and the doctors of Advanced Eyecare, Dr. Marc McLean and Dr. Whitney McGaha, have deep roots in the Big Country. Two of the doctors grew up here: one in Wylie and another in the Cooper School District. They have kids in the Abilene Christian, Abilene High, and the Wylie school districts. They are active in the local Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Heart Association, and Communities in Schools of the Big Country. They are also involved in medical missions to Haiti, Latin America, Guatemala, and humanitarian efforts to Rwanda and South Africa among other community and philanthropic endeavors. These are people who care about people. Most importantly, they care about vision and they care about their patients.

Doctor photoI feel confident that Dr. Avila, Dr. McLean and Dr. McGaha will continue to provide you and your family with the best eye care possible. The Advanced Eyecare staff will be contacting you for your next regularly scheduled visit.

For those who care to know, Pro-Vision comes from God's "provision" and I certainly feel God has provided me the gift of caring for you and your family.

Lastly, I will be working for a short period, part time, at the Advanced Eyecare office if you'd like to see me there.

Thank you again for your loyalty and confidence.

Sincerely,

Dr. David Riddlespurger
